The thrill of a Raid, the anticipation as the Poke Ball shakes, and then a Shiny Charizard! But wait, is this even possible? This question has puzzled many trainers, myself included.
In this article, we’ll explore the possibility of encountering a Shiny Charizard in Raids, look into the mechanics of Pokémon Raids, and share some tips to increase your chances.
So, let’s set off on this exciting quest together, fellow trainers!
What are the odds of getting a Shiny Charizard in a raid?
In Pokémon Go, the Odds of acquiring a shiny Charizard in raids constantly depend on the type of raid you are participating in😊.
So, here is a table showing some of the general odds.
TYPE OF RAID |
ODDS OF GETTING SHINY CHARIZARD |
Regular, everyday Five-Star raid |
One odd in 20 chances. |
Mega Raids |
One odd in 128 opportunities. |
Raid events |
It might give you 1 in 10 chances. |
That said, it is crucial to understand that these are just general odds and are bound to change when it is time for special events such as Pokémon Go’s Community Days, which have higher spawn rates for shiny Charizard occurrences.
Additionally, each player sees and encounters Charizard differently.
For instance, the same Charizard seen by two different players might appear shiny for one and not for the other.
Good luck with your Shiny Charizard hunt🥳!
Can you get a shiny Charizard from Tera Raids in Pokémon?
Sadly, it’s impossible to obtain a shiny Charizard from Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet😓. The Charizard that appears in raids during the event is the same for all players.
Hence, no shiny variations will spawn for anyone. Each Charizard in the event will have six perfect IVs, be male, have the mightiest mark, and have a Dragon Tera-type.
If you’re determined to get a Shiny Charizard during your time with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, be aware that the Charizards showcased during the event are shiny-locked.
However, breeding Charmander through the Masuda Method can still obtain a shiny Charizard.
Unfortunately, since Charizard and any members of its evolution line don’t appear in the wild, you won’t be able to use the mass outbreak and picnic reset method. Instead, you’ll need to rely solely on the Masuda method to try and hatch a shiny Charmander.
Keep in mind that this method may not result in a hatchling with perfect IVs, and it won’t have the mightiest mark like the first Charizard you catch.
However, having a shiny in a Pokémon that doesn’t spawn in Paldea can be a valuable addition to any collection😃.
Where can you find Shiny Charizard in Pokémon?
You can find a shiny Charizard in Pokémon in these places:
In Raid Battles.
If you are a Pokémon Sword and Shield fan, you will be delighted to know that you can increase your chances of getting a Shiny GMAX Charizard by following some steps in raid battles🤤. By doing so, you can guarantee your success in finding this rare and sought-after creature.
In Pokémon Go.
It is worth noting that in the world of Pokémon GO, all the Pokémon that have made their debut in mega raids have a chance of appearing as Shiny, with relatively high odds of 1 in 64. However, it is rare to find evolved Pokémon like Charizard in the wild. A viable alternative method in Pokémon GO is to catch a Shiny Charmander and then evolve it into a Shiny Charizard using Charmander Candy.
In wild encounters.
It is possible to come across Shiny Pokémon while exploring the wild, but the probability of encountering one is relatively low – about 1 in 4096🤐.
However, there are certain games and events that can enhance the likelihood of spotting these rare charizards.
