I have always dreamed of becoming a Pokémon. I was fascinated by their abilities, their personalities, and their adventures. I loved playing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, a game where you can be a Pokémon and explore dungeons with your friends.
Despite it all, I couldn’t evolve, and this bothered me because I wanted to see what I would look like as a stronger Pokémon.
Later, I realized that many fans who played Mystery Dungeon wanted the same tin. So, in this article, I will share my experience and knowledge on how to evolve Pokémon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.
I will also give you some tips on making the most of your evolution and enjoying the game. Whether you are a beginner, an expert, or a fan of Pokémon, you will find something useful and interesting in this article.
So, let’s get started!
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, evolving isn’t automatic like in regular Pokémon games. You have to do certain things to make it happen.
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX, finish the main story first. After the credits, go back to the town square and find the Luminous Cave near Whiscash’s Pond.
Inside, you can evolve your Pokémon if they have an evolution. Check the info screen; it’ll say the level needed to evolve. Reach that level, enter the Luminous Cave, and evolve your Pokémon😀.
Here’s a table with more info on how different Pokémon evolve:
Get to level 16 and then use a Thunder Stone.
Use a Thunder Stone, Water Stone, or Fire Stone
Trade with Metal Coat.
Can the main character evolve in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon?
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, the main character can evolve, but there are conditions. Usually, after finishing the main story, evolution becomes possible.
However, the player and partner can only evolve after completing more post-game content. It’s not just about leveling up; progressing through the story is also key for evolution. 🎮👾🕹️🏆
In Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, evolving the Pokémon you recruit is only possible after finishing the main story, and your starter and partner characters evolve post-epilogue.
To make the evolution happen, take a ride on Lapras to the Life Tree and chat with Xerneas. Keep in mind evolving is a cool reward for your progress in the Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon adventure! 🌟🎮
Yes, Mega Evolution is a thing in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon🥳. Mega Evolution is a cool thing introduced in Pokémon X & Y and part of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.
It lets some Pokémon get super powerful for a short time, making battles easier.
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, you can Mega Evolve using a special item called an Empowerment Seed.
Find these seeds in dungeon chests or get them as rewards for missions. They’re one-time-use items; you might see more of them after finishing the main story.
When a Pokémon eats an Empowerment Seed, it gets supercharged in an “Awakened” mode. If the Pokémon can Mega Evolve, it transforms into a Mega form, lasting for the whole dungeon.
So, you’ve got to be smart about when to use these seeds since they’re not easy to come by.
Just a reminder, not all Pokémon can Mega Evolve. If you use an Empowerment Seed on one that can’t, it still gets boosted in stats but stays in the “Awakened” mode. 🌟🎮
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, evolving differs slightly from the main games. Take Haunter, for example, a Pokémon that usually evolves through trading.
Here, you’ll need a Link Cable, a special item found in dungeons like the Solar Cave, usually on a higher floor. Navigate through, battle wild Pokémon, and avoid traps to get it.
Once you have the Link Cable, head to the Luminous Spring, a special place for evolving Pokémon. Interact with the spring, choose “Yes” to evolve Haunter, and pick the Link Cable from your items.
If everything’s good, Haunter transforms into Gengar.
Remember, evolving in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon not only changes looks but also boosts stats and might teach new moves, making your team stronger! 🌟🎮
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, your playable options include Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Meowth, Psyduck, Machop, Cubone, and Eevee.
If you hop over to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, you get a few more choices like Phanpy, Vulpix, Riolu, and Shinx.
Keep in mind your playable Pokémon is decided by a personality quiz when you start the game. You can stick with the game’s suggestion or pick your Pokémon yourself. 🎮👾
