As a Pokémon collector and player, I know how exciting it is to catch rare and elusive Pokémon. One such Pokémon that has been the talk of the town is Zeraora.
This electric-type mythical Pokémon is a fan favorite, and many trainers are eager to add it to their collection. However, getting your hands on Zeraora is no easy feat.
In this article, we will explore the world of Pokémon Sword and Shield and learn how to catch Zeraora. We will cover everything from where to find it to the best strategies for catching it.
Let’s get started! 🎉🎉🎉
How to get Zeraora in Pokémon Sword
Zeraora is a mythical Pokémon made available in Pokémon Sword and Shield through special events😅. To get Zeraora, players had to follow these steps:
- Participate in a Max Raid Battle with Zeraora: Zeraora was featured in Max Raid Battles from June 17th to June 28th. Although it was impossible to catch Zeraora directly, if over a million trainers defeated it collectively during this period, each participant would receive a Shiny Zeraora.
- Transfer a Pokémon to or from Pokémon Home: Players had to move a Pokémon to or from Pokémon Home between June 17th and July 6th.
- Claim the mystery gift for Zeraora: After completing the previous step, players could obtain the gift for Zeraora, along with a code for Armorite Ore in Pokémon Home.
- Transfer Zeraora to Pokémon Sword and Shield: Players could then transfer Zeraora to Pokémon Sword and Shield, gaining access to its shiny form and unique stats.
It’s important to note that these events have ended, and there is no official way to acquire Zeraora in Pokémon Sword and Shield at the moment😁. However, players can explore trading opportunities with others who already have Zeraora.
The odds of getting Zeraora in a trade depend on how willing other players are to part with their rare Pokémon😶🌫️. Zaroori is a unique Pokémon that cannot be obtained through regular gameplay in Pokémon Sword and Shield🤧.
It was initially introduced in a special event for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon in 2018 and later made a comeback in 2020 through another event.
Players could receive a Shiny Zeraora during this event by defeating it in a Max Raid Battle and transferring a Pokémon from Pokémon Home.
If you missed out on these events, the only way to get Zeraora in Pokemon Sword and Shield is by trading with other players who already have it.
However, the success of this trade depends on finding players willing to part with their rare Pokemon.
Yes, Zeraora is transferable to Pokémon Sword and Shield. The following table outlines the various methods for this transfer:
In Max Raid Battle
From June 17th to June 28th, Zeraora participates in Max Raid Battles in Pokémon Sword & Shield. Suppose over one million trainers collectively conquer Zeraora in the Max Raid Battle within this period. In that case, each participant will be rewarded with a Shiny Zeraora sent to their Pokémon Home app.
Via Pokemon Ultra Sun or Moon
In 2018, a special giveaway event was held for Pokémon Ultra Sun & Moon, during which Zeraora was distributed. Zeraora can be stored in the cloud-based storage system Pokémon Bank. Players can use Pokémon Home to transfer Zeraora from Pokémon Bank, eliminating the need for both the 3DS and the old system. However, to make the transfer, you require a Nintendo Switch, 3DS, and internet connection.
Trade for Zeraora
Pokémon Home allows users to trade with others around the world. However, Zeraora is a Mythical Pokémon, so you cannot request it through the anonymous trade feature. If you want to add Zeraora to your collection, you must trade with a friend or someone who owns Zeraora.
