One thing about the Pokémon game is that it is ever-evolving – keeping players on their toes 🤪.
While it’s cool having all these new and fun features with every franchise, it could turn out to be a real pain if you don’t quickly learn the ropes of the game.
For instance, there is this new Swap feature that has changed how a Pokémon can tackle its counterparts in battle.
It is a transformative feature to unwrap for those who understand it. If you are clueless about this swap feature, fret not. I will give you an insight into how you can swap a Pokémon.
How to Swap Pokémon
There are different ways in which you can swap Pokémon depending on the game you are playing. Here are a few easy ways;
From the Pokémon Center
⚙️Access the Pokémon Center from the main menu on your Pokémon game . Click ‘Settings’ and then select the ‘Pokémon Home’ option. While there, you will see a list of all the Pokémon you can swap. Select the Pokémon you wish to swap. Click ‘Next’ then ‘Swap’
Swap with a Friend
👫To swap a Pokémon with a friend, make sure you are both within 100 meters of each other. They should also be on your friends’ list.
Then open the Trainer profile and select the friend you wish to swap with. Select the Pokémon you want to swap. Click ‘Confirm’ to complete the swap.
From the Pasture
🐉You can swap your Pokémon by visiting Jubilife Village and speaking to the female NPC. She will allow you to see the Pokémon you have in the Pasture to help you determine which Pokémon you will swap with.
How to Change Pokémon in Party
Changing Pokémon in a party is easy. First and foremost, you need to access the main menu on your gaming device. While on the menu, look for the ‘Party’ option. You will see a list of all the Pokémon you have in your party.
Next, click on the Pokémon you would like to switch out from your party. A sub-menu will open with the available options for swapping the specific Pokémon you have chosen.
Once you have decided which Pokémon from your party you want to change, click on the ‘Switch’ option. Then select the Pokémon you wish to swap.
Confirm your changes to facilitate the replacement.
Where can you swap Pokémon in Arceus?
The most obvious and common place to swap your Pokémon in Arceus is in the Jubilife village. You can find this village by locating the area identified as Pokémon Pastures on the map. Once you get here, you shall request the female NPC (Non-Playable Character) running the farm to allow you to swap your Pokémon with some available on the farm.
Alternatively, if you are far from the Pasture, you can opt to swap your Pokémon by speaking to the Galaxy Member at each campsite.
When can you change Active Pokémon?
In a Pokémon game, a player can change an active Pokémon when it is in battle. This move is done when it is your turn to make a move with your Pokémon.
Please note that changing an active Pokémon in battle should be done at the beginning of your turn and can only be done once in every turn.
Changing an active Pokémon is a gaming strategy most players like to implement during battle. The move is intended to counterattack their opponent and is easily activated by swiping up on your screen.
