After missing out on my chance to obtain Cosmog through ‘A Cosmic Companion’ special research. I felt terrible that such a once-in-a-blue-moon chance had slipped through my fingers.
I started to wonder whether such a rare Pokémon can be traded.
Then, to obtain an answer, I posed the question on online platforms but I was disappointed that no help was coming. It was then that I decided to try and find out if I can trade Cosmog in Pokémon GO on my own, and in this article, I am going to share my findings with you.
How much stardust does a cosmog trade require?
The exact number of stardust required for a Cosmog trade depends on the level of friendship the two trainers have, ranging from 800 stardust to 1,000,000 stardust.

- Best Friends: 800 Stardust
- Ultra Friends: 1600 Stardust

If one trainer needs Cosmog registered, the number of stardusts is high, with them costing:

However, if you have Cosmog in your game version, you can transfer it to Pokémon Home and then transfer it to Pokémon GO, as getting it in Pokémon GO requires a lot of patience and ‘luck’.
How do you get a second Cosmog in Pokémon GO?
Participate in special events or promotions announced by Niantic that offer Cosmog as a reward. However, if you have Cosmog in another Pokémon game, transferring it to Pokémon Home then linking Pokémon Home to Pokémon GO, and transferring the Cosmog to Pokémon GO will give you a second Cosmog.
Is it possible to get Cosmog in Pokémon GO?
Currently, there is no way to directly get Cosmog in Pokémon GO through normal gameplay 😭. However, when Niantic offers special events with Cosmog as a reward, you can obtain Cosmog.
