How do you get Charizard in Pokémon Go? (How to catch Charizard in Pokémon Go)
As one of my favorite Pokémon, I had always looked forward to the day I’d finally catch Charizard! Most of my friends had already added this beauty to their collections, but it always eluded me the closer I got to catching it.
After ten years of hit and misses, I finally got my big break when Charizard showed up on my nearby map, and I was able to catch it on the first hit.
Today, I’ll share with you the tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years to help you catch Charizard in Pokémon Go.
Where to find Charizard in Pokémon Go
😈There’s no exact location to find Charizard in Pokémon Go. However, the mobile app features a tracker called Pokevision map, which can locate Charizard if it’s near you and display it on your map in real-time . This map also has a countdown timer to show you how much time you have left to catch Charizard.
Many trainers have reported sightings of Charizard in the wild near mountains or hills, so you can trek through these features if they are near you, and you might be lucky enough to find one. Others also found Charizard in their normal settings, like the office cafeteria or right next door.
Therefore, Charizard pops up in random locations in Pokémon Go. The higher your trainer level, the higher your chances of finding it.
Is Charizard a rare spawn in Pokémon Go?
💎Absolutely! Charizard is one of the rarest and most sought-after Pokémon. Although there have been reports of Charizard sightings across the internet, only the extremely lucky few have been able to encounter this rare fire-type Pokémon.
Just how rare is it to get Charizard in Pokémon Go?
Charizard has a spawn rate of 0.0031%, meaning that chances of encountering it are low. To get Charizard in Pokémon Go, you must raise your trainer level or catch a Charmander and evolve it into a Charmeleon and then a Charizard.
Both methods require lots of patience, commitment, and strategy, underscoring how rare and difficult it is to get Charizard in Pokémon Go. 😓
For example, raising your trainer level requires you to gain more experience by hatching eggs, fighting in gyms, going for lots of walks, and grabbing as many PokeStops as possible.
On the other hand, if you decide to start with a Charmander, you’ll need to wait for occasions like the Community Day Classic event, when there’s an increase in Charmander spawns, and catch as many Charmander as you can so that you can get enough candy needed to evolve one into a Charizard.
Let’s look at the spawn rate of different Pokémon from the rarest to the least rare.
