Evolving a Pokémon in Pokémon Violet is the easiest compared to all other game series. All you have to do is walk your Pokémon until it hits the 1,000 steps mark.
Knowing this made me excited to take on the game until I realized it would be more challenging than I imagined. Why?
Because, unlike in the preceding series, Pokémon Violet has no pedometer 😓. But, as usual, I quickly found a way through it and can help you find your way around this, too. If interested, read along to find out more 🕵️♂
How long does 1000 steps take Pokémon Violet?
The downside to Pokémon Violet is that you cannot track your steps progress. This makes it difficult for one to know how long it takes to get to 1,000 steps.
However, several players have attempted to time how long it takes. From the feedback, it is estimated to take 5-7 minutes to complete the 1000 steps in Pokémon Violet. ⏲️ 🎮 🚶♂️
Does the 1000 steps reset Pokémon Violet?
🎮Pokémon Violet has three Pokémon that need to hit the 1000-step mark for them to level up. These are Pawmo, Rellor, and Bramblin.
To keep the steps counting to reach the 1000 steps mark, the player needs to get these Pokémon out and have them walk around for as long as needed.
The trick, however, is that you have to make sure you remain close to your Pokémon. Failure to which the Pokémon will return to its Pokeball ⚠️.
When this happens with Rellor and Bramblin, the steps will automatically reset. You have to start all over again. 😩 🔄
The case is different with Pawmo since the steps do not reset. All you have to do is take the Pokémon out of its Pokeball to complete the steps. 🐾 ✨
How to check how many steps you’ve taken in Pokémon Violet?
You might have to do a lot of guesswork to know how many steps you have taken in Pokémon Violet.
I find this absurd since it is in this Pokémon game series where we have Pokémon that need to walk 1000 steps outside their Pokeball for them to evolve.
Therefore, without the pedometer to tell you how far you have walked, it gets difficult to track steps 🚶♂️📱 .
All you can do to make sure you hit the targeted steps is to take out your Pokémon as much as possible.

How do you get 1000 steps in Pokémon Violet?
Initially, the only way players used to know to make the 1000 steps count was to take their Pokémon out in the ‘Let’s Go’ mode. The payer would then run around with their Pokémon for about 5-7 minutes to hit the mark. 🕒
Recently, players became more creative and found an easier way to make the Pokémon quickly hit the 1000-step mark.
For this trick, you need to identify a tall building near you. Enter the ‘Let’s Go’ mode and set out your Pokémon.
Get to the top of the building, 🏢 🎮 leaving your Pokémon behind. Once on top, you should see your Pokémon start to run around in circles.
If it does not, you might want to try jumping to a different building. Do this until the reaction with the Pokémon is triggered.
As the Pokémon runs around, the steps will increase 🎉. You can relax and wait for it to hit the 1,000-step mark. Also, make sure you are close enough to the Pokémon so that it does not go back to its Pokeball.
