I’ve been playing Pokémon for a while now, and consequently, I’ve amassed quite a collection 😎. Until recently, I stored my Pokémon in the Pokémon Bank.
However, Pokémon HOME came along and changed that. I signed up the very week it launched and moved my Pokémon. Not long afterward, I ceased making monthly payments on my HOME account.
I noticed I couldn’t access all my Pokémon, making me wonder what the limit was and whether my Pokémon were safe.
A quick Google search answered my question and inspired this article.
So, what’s the limit in Pokémon HOME?
What is the Pokémon GO Home limit?
Pokémon HOME is a cloud service that lets you store and move Pokémon between titles. The service also allows you to trade your stored Pokemon, check their stats, and follow battle data for online competitions.
Pokemon HOME has a free and premium plan that determines, among other things, its limit. The free plan allows you to store a maximum of 30, while the premium plan lets you store 6,000.
Additionally, you can only add one Pokemon at a time in the Global Trading System in the free plan, unlike the premium that allows you to add three.
Here’s a table summarizing the differences between these plans 👇:

How many Pokémon can you store in Home for free?
As mentioned, you can only store 30 Pokemon in HOME for free. Other things you can do on the free plan include moving 3 Pokemon to the Wonder Box at once, moving one Pokemon to the Global Trading System, and participating in Room Trades.
To get the most out of Pokemon HOME, get the premium plan. Here, you store up to 6,000 Pokemon and upload more Pokemon to the Wonder Box and GTS.
Currently, the Pokemon HOME premium plan costs $3 per month 💰.
Can you store more than 30 Pokémon in Pokémon HOME?
Yes. You can store over 30 Pokemon in HOME by getting the premium plan 👌. As mentioned, this plan lets you store up to 6,000 Pokemon.
This plan is perfect for players with multiple Pokemon across multiple devices. Pokemon HOME syncs with Pokemon Sword and Shield and Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.
Additionally, you can move your stored Pokemon across these games and from 3DS to Switch.
What happens to my Pokémon if I stop paying for Pokémon HOME?
Your Pokemon will remain unharmed if you stop paying for Pokemon HOME. However, you will lose custody of most of them and only access the 30 most recently added.
Once you resume payment, you can access the rest of your Pokemon and enjoy other perks of the premium plan.
