Players consider her transformation underwhelming because you have to fight her battles for her from the beginning.
The worst part is that Lillie continues to buy Pokeballs, but never actually uses them in the game🤦♂️. Instead, she had them to players showing a lack of skill or confidence in her abilities.
Her weaknesses appear in new regions where she constantly gets lost. It is particularly frustrating when Lillie gets distracted while shopping in regions like Heahea and Hau’oli.

Lillie is the main character in Sun and Moon. She is an 11-year-old girl who goes to school to the Melemele Pokémon school. Between the ages of 5 and 6 years, an Ultra Beast known as Nihilego attacked Lillie.
She was already a quiet and timid girl who became terrified of Pokémon after that incident. However, Silvally came to Lillie’s rescue a couple of times, and soon her fear of Pokémon dissipated😅.
She goes on an adventure and attracts Pokémon like Growlithe. Her gentle and selfless nature attracts many friends, including Gabe, Mimi, Crystal and Ray.

Most people are not so fond of Lillie’s character for several reasons. Some players hate that the entire storyline in Sun seems to revolve around her while she does “nothing”.
Players who share this opinion think Lillie is overrated and lacks proper character development. A good character needs to overcome some challenges in their journey, unlike Lillie, who seems to get what she wants all the time🙄.
Even with the outfit changes, it’s hard to see the value in Lillie other than being eye candy for the younger players.
Additionally, Lilli is not even a trainer. Pokemon fans find that weird because the conflict in the game stems from bad experiences from her past.
Having said that, a section of Sun and Moon fans love Lillie’s coyness. Her back story makes her more relatable to female players.
