Finding a Pokémon with a Hidden Ability is no walk in the park. For starters, it is nearly impossible to find one in the wild that has a Hidden Ability 😮.
In the Scarlet and Violet game, the only way to get a Pokémon with a hidden ability is by finishing Tera Raids, using ability patches, and breeding.
After completing a Tera Raid, you might be lucky to find a Pokémon with a Hidden Ability in these dens. The determining factor to confirm you are on the right track to get a Pokémon with Hidden Ability is when you encounter a lot of difficulty during the raid.
The rate of finding such a Pokémon, however, is quite low since the Tera Raid Crystals are known to reboot once a day.
An ability patch is a valuable resource that enables a player to turn a regular ability into a hidden one. Players should only use this resource when participating in competitive training or breeding since it is a tool that is not easily accessible.
You can choose to create your own Pokémon with a Hidden Ability by breeding it yourself. For this to happen, you will need to have a female Pokémon that already possesses this ability. The whole process requires the use of a Ditto without a Hidden Ability, which will, in turn, result in a whole new Pokémon that has a Hidden Ability.
What is the Chance for a Pokémon to Have a Hidden Ability?
The chances of encountering a Pokémon in the wild with a Hidden Ability, as earlier mentioned, are really low but not completely zero.

How Do You Know What Pokémon’s Hidden Abilities Are?
To check the type of Hidden Ability your Pokémon possesses 🤔, you will need to look at its Summary page. Checking on this page will let you know if the Pokémon has a Hidden Ability and what it is if it does have one.
The Summary page, however, will not unlock the ability for you. This is just to check if the Hidden Ability exists or not.
You can also use a Pokémon in SOS chains with the move Entertainment or Skill Swap the check the specific type of Hidden Ability your Pokémon has.
A Pokémon in an SOS chain has a 15% chance to have a Hidden Ability, using the moves will not only let you know if the Pokémon has this ability but what type of ability it is.
How to Know If Pokémon Has Hidden Ability
Apart from checking the Summary page to see if a Pokémon has Hidden Ability, you can also use a Pokémon with Trace to find this out 😀.
The Trace Pokémon will get the ability of whatever Pokémon it is fighting. This will, in turn, let you know if the opponent Pokémon possesses a Hidden Ability or not.
You can also check the Status screen and compare if the abilities it possesses are normal for its species. If there is one ability that stands out as abnormal, then that is the Hidden Ability.
