I was still a novice 😊 Pokemon player when I first saw a Charizard Gigantamax on a YouTube tutorial. I was mesmerized and wanted one for myself.

💡As excited and motivated as I was, I set out on a mission to try and capture one for myself. Little did I know the Charizard Gigantamax is a rare Pokemon that can be so hard to come by if you are clueless.

How to get a Gigantamax Charizard?

The only way to get a Gigantamax Charizard is to get them as a 🎁 gift from Leon and Hop’s house or capture them at an event like the Pikachu or Meowth.

Other than these, the only other way to get them is by catching them in a Max Raid Battle in the Wild Area region.

• Go to your hometown and in Postwick Village, visit Leon and Hop’s House.
• While there, go up the stairs to the room on your right.
• You will find a Pokemon ball on the floor and a letter from Leon.
• Open the ball to find a Charmander.
• At level 16, evolve the Charmander into a Charmeleon and then evolve it into a Charizard at level 36 . Then the Charizard can Gigantamax.

In the Wild Area around Lake Outrage in the Max Raid battle, look for a purple beam of light, which is often an indication of a rare Pokemon. Follow the light – it just might lead you to the rare Gigantamax Charizard.

Gigantamax Charizard is not easy to come by. The chances of a Gigantamax appearing are as low as 5% in the Max Raid Battle.

The chances are a bit higher with Gigantamax events where there is a 10% – 50% chance of them appearing.

✨ How to get a shiny Gigantamax Charizard

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can easily get a Shiny Gigantamax;

• Buy several wishing pieces – 10 or more.
• Head over to your ‘Mystery Gift’ settings and tap on ‘Get the Wild Area News’ option.
• Go to Hammerlock Area and head over to the two dens on the left side of the area.
• Throw in your wishing piece.
• If you see a red light, quickly go to your homepage and close the game.
• Go back to the game, make a reset, and throw in another wishing piece in the den.
• Keep alternating between the two dens while throwing in a wishing piece until you get a purple beam which symbolizes a rare Pokemon.
• Go ahead and save the game once you get the rare Pokemon you want – the Shiny Charizard.
