I’ve always wanted the perfect Charizard. So, when I captured a Shiny, I thought, “This is my chance.” I set out to optimize him with the best movesets. But first, I had to choose a nature.
I was torn between Timid, Modest, Adamant, and Jolly. Each had merits and demerits, so I opted to learn more about them.
At first, I had Jolly for Charizard before switching to Timid. Here’s what I’ve learned from having a Jolly Nature Charizard.
What is the best moveset for Charizard in Jolly Nature?
Jolly Nature improves your Charizard’s speed by 10% but decreases its Special Attack by 10%. This allows Charizard to outpace most opponents 😃.
For instance, in Pokémon Sword and Shield, Jolly Nature allows Charizard to outspeed Mimikyu, Galarian Darmanitan, and Excadrill.
With these in mind, choosing the best moveset for your Jolly Nature Charizard is essential. You’ll need to focus on its physical attack stats to capitalize on the boost in speed.
Here’s a breakdown of the best movesets for your Jolly Nature Charizard ⬇️:

You can substitute Flare Blitz with Fire Punch to avoid recoil damage. However, Fire Punch doesn’t inflict as much damage on your opponent. Besides, Roost will help you recover from the Flare Blitz’s recoil damage.
Is Charizard a physical or Special Attacker when they are in Jolly Nature?
Charizard is ordinarily a Special Attacker. However, in Jolly Nature, it’s best used as a Physical Attacker. As mentioned, Jolly Nature boosts Charizard’s speed at the cost of its Special Attacks.
This trade-off makes Charizard a better Physical Attacker. You’ll need physical moves that pack a punch To capitalize on its newfound abilities.
When selecting Charizard’s movesets in Jolly Nature, include Roost. This move helps Charizard recover faster after an attack.
Is Jolly Nature good for Charizard?
This depends on why you selected Jolly Nature 🧐. It’s perfect for use in battles where speed is essential. However, Jolly Nature isn’t ideal for fights that rely heavily on Charizard’s Special Attacks.
Also, Jolly is perfect for Mega Charizard X.
Which nature works best for Charizard?
Modest and Timid are perfect for Charizard 👍. These natures increase Charizard’s speed without affecting its Special Attacks. Essentially, you get the best of both worlds when you use them.
However, they affect Charizard’s Physical Attack. But this isn’t a problem since Charizard relies heavily on Special Attacks.
You can switch your Charizard’s nature using Mints, which you can purchase or win.
