This was the focal point of the debate I was having with some gamers when we first saw the leaks to Pokémon Scarlet, and we got a sneak-peak of Rika 😮.
Nothing about Rika’s demeanor was telling of the character’s gender – a slender, laid-back character donning masculine clothing. Not knowing better and judging by the looks, most of us were inclined to think Rika was male.
Imagine our surprise when the Pokémon Scarlet Franchise was launched, only to discover Rika is a girl! So cool 😎

Rika is an Elite Four female character appearing in the Paldea Region in Pokémon Scarlet. She is a laid-back, young, slender lady with distinctly red eyes who rocks her green hair in a low ponytail.
Her dress code is a gray shirt, black pants with suspenders, a black necktie with matching black gloves, and brown shoes to complete the look. 👚 👖
Her laid-back personality is evident in her looks and talking mannerisms when she uses slang when referring to players.😂 She, however, has this other serious and professional personality as she takes on her other role as an interviewer before Elite Four battles.
She can be a hard-nut to crack. Therefore, any challenger due to face her in an interview must be well-prepared for the test.
It is also during her role as a secretary that you get to easily spot her shortcomings, like being impatient 😬. We can conclude she likes to move at her own pace.
