Zeraora is a unique Pokémon that I particularly love because it cannot be caught in the wild Pokémon Sword and Shield.
It can only be found in special events, and since it is quite an exclusive piece in my Pokémon collection, I can’t name the number of times my friends have asked me to trade it.
If you want to be part of the exclusive gang with the highly coveted Zeraora, keep reading to find out how to acquire it in Pokémon Sword 🗡️ and Shield 🛡️.
Where to Find Zeraora In Pokémon Sword and Shield?
To get Zeraora in Pokémon Sword and Shield, one must transfer it from a Pokémon HOME. Zeraora is a Mythical Pokémon 💫 (a type of Legendary Pokémon that typically requires special events).
It is also an Electric-type Pokémon that first appeared in Generation VII Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon in 2018 and is not known to evolve into other Pokémon.
With it being a Mythical Pokémon, it can only be acquired by catching it in another game version, such as Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and transferring it to Pokémon Sword and Shield with a Pokémon HOME.
A Pokémon HOME is a cloud-storage service for Pokémon that is accessible through the Nintendo Switch console and other compatible devices.
How to Get Zeraora In Pokémon Sword and Shield
Aside from transferring Zeraora from other games to Pokémon Sword and Shield, players can get this Pokémon by participating in 5 Star Raids, Max Raid Battles, and similar limited-time events ⚔️.
For instance, in the Max Raid Battle held in June 2020, Zeraora appeared in Pokémon Sword and Shield, and players could get this Pokémon if over one million trainers around the world defeated Zeraora in battle.
Particularly, they received the shiny version of Zeraora in their HOMEs. Here is how players got Zeraora (this strategy can be employed in similar events):
Locate the Wild Area and go to the Pokémon Dens that can be easily spotted by a red light beam.
Interact with one of the Dens until you see the silhouette of the Pokémon available for combat. Hopefully, it will be Zeraora.
If you don’t get Zeraora, battle all the available Pokémon in the Wild Area until you get this specific critter.
Alternatively, toss a Wishing Piece into a Den to trigger the appearance of a Pokémon, which can be done by first going to a Den that isn’t part of the Max Raid Battle and collecting Watts. If you do it again, you will be asked if you want to throw in a Wishing Piece. Confirm, and a Pokémon, which might be Zeraora, will show up. |
Lastly, you can get the Zeraora Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield by trading for it. With the Pokémon HOME service, you can trade for it with your friends or in specific discussion boards. Since Zeraora is a Mythical Pokémon, it cannot be posted on anonymous trade platforms.
You can only trade it privately.
Can You Transfer Zeraora In Pokémon Sword and Shield
