Mega Charizard Y
This is the natural evolution of Charizard, that is built for flight. You should pay attention to this form due to its high drought ability and special attack. Unlike the previous form, this one features red flames. Mega Charizard Y is unique due to its incredible flying prowess.
Gingatamax Charizard
If you are familiar with Pokémon Sword and Shield, then you are probably not new to Gingatamax Charizard. This form of Charizard is the only Pokémon that uses G-Max Move G-Max Wildfire that deals damage-over time effect and powerful damage to non-fire Pokémon.

Why does Charizard have 2 mega evolutions?

How to mega evolve your Charizard in Pokémon
You first need to get your hands on a Shiny Charizard to mega evolve it into Shiny Mega Charizard Y or X. You can catch a Shiny Charizard by evolving a wild shiny Charmander into a Shiny Charizard or through Mega Charizard Y or X raids.
Once you catch a Shiny Charizard, you can now proceed to the Mega Evolution process. You now need to collect 200 Mega Energy by doing activities with a buddy Pokémon, completing certain research tasks, and participating in raids. Once you have collected them, do the following.
- Go to the Shiny Charmarders stat page
- Look for the button labeled Pokémon Go Mega Evolve and click on it
- Pick between Mega Charizard Y and Mega Charizard Y evolution
