How to Find Out Arven’s Secret
To discover Arven’s secret, join him in his quest to search for the Herba Mystica in the Path of Legends. Initially, Arven presents as an adept researcher and cook, specializing in healthy recipes to help Pokémon improve.
He is not a strong Pokémon trainer, so he seeks your help in winning the battles in search of a mystery ingredient, the Herba Mystica. He claims that he intends to use it to become a master sandwich maker.
However, as the game progresses and you continue to battle, you will soon discover that Arven has a deep secret. His parents had to sacrifice their lives so that he could live.
He only had his hound, Masbosstiff, to keep him company. But Masbosstiff got involved in a tragedy where he got hurt, and the Herba Mystica was his only hope of recovery 😓.
What Pokémon Does Arven Have in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
Arven has a strong team of six Pokémon, who cover for his weaknesses as a trainer as the game begins. He will challenge you to a fight, and to increase your chances of winning, you must have strong Pokémon, too 💪. Before you battle with Arven, ensure all your Pokémon are above level 60.

How to Beat Arven in Scarlet and Violet
To beat Arven, fly over to Poco Path and engage in battle with his Pokémon. He has a diverse team of six Pokémon, and you must defeat all of them to finish up the Path of Legends storyline.
Once he engages you in battle, bring out your Fighting-type Pokémon to raise your chances of defeating him.
Also, have a grass-type to go against Clyster and Garganacl. At the very end, when you are up against Mabosstiff, a strong fairy type, rock or fighting type, will defeat him.
You will receive a reward of 12,600 coins for beating Arven👌.
What Pokémon Should You Use to Beat Arven?
You need a strong team of Fighting-type Pokémon to beat Arven, all above level 60. His entire team comprises of Pokémon that are weak to damage by Fighting Type.
Some of the Pokémon you can use to stand against him include Armarouge, Pawmot, Tinkaton, Staraptor, Lucario, and Scovillain.
At the end of the game, when Mabosstiff is in full recovery, you will fight him, too. He is weak against Rock and Fighting type, and so Glimmora, Garnacl and Gallade are great Pokémon to use against him.
