While some Pokémon only evolve during the day, some can only evolve at night. Sometimes, some Pokémon’s affinity for the nighttime is linked to their mischievous behavior or design.
🧐 If you wish to play this game, be keen on when the sun begins to set to evolve some Pokémon at night.
The position of the sun in this game should reflect where it is in real life. Just as the sun moves in real time and gets lower as the day progresses, the game should switch between the day and night at the expected time of sunset based on your location.
As the sun sets, you should be able to evolve certain Pokémon.
When does night time begin in Pokémon go?
The day and night form part of the weather system in this game. Though the transition from daytime to nighttime is in line with local sunset times, this may vary based on the current season and geographical location.
Pokémon Go shifts to nighttime at least 2 hours after the sun sets. Therefore, if the sun sets at around 9.17 in your area, nocturnal Pokémon may begin popping up any time between 10.47 and 11.47.
The sunrise and sunset trigger this game map’s visual day/night mode. Based on your location, you may experience limited nighttime hours.
Which Pokemon evolve at night in Pokemon Go?
One of the Pokémon that evolve at night is Ursaring. You can evolve this Pokémon to Ursaluna at night in Pokémon Go.
You can trigger the evolution during a real-life full moon. You can also evolve Eevee to the dark type Umbreon during nighttime mode in Pokémon Go.
You can also evolve Rockruff, the Generation Seven Pokémon, into different forms of Lycanroc based on the version of the game you play.
For instance, you can evolve a Rockruff into Midnight Form Lycanroc at night. The rock and ice type Pokémon known as Amaura also evolves Aurorus at night in this game.

How to evolve Pokemon at night
The methods vary depending on the specific Pokémon you wish to evolve at night. For instance, if you want to evolve Ursaring to Ursuluna, you have to feed it 100 Teddiursa Candies.
👭On the other hand, for you to evolve Eevee to Umbreon, you first have to walk 10 km with Eevee as your Buddy Pokémon.
You then have to feed Eevee 25 candies for you to trigger the evolution at night.
If you are interested in evolving Rockruff into Lycanroc Midnight Form, you have to feed it 50 Rockruff candies to trigger the evolution in Night Mode.
🍬On the other hand, you can evolve Amaura into Aurorus in this game by feeding it 50 Aumara Candies.
