To get Pokémon #69 in the National Pokédex, visit Route 24, east of Viridian City, and at the wild grass of Viridian forest or through hatching.

In Generation II (Gold, Silver, Crystal), you can find Bellsprout in Sprout Tower and rarely in the National Park, commonly in Eterna Forest and rarely at Honey Tree during special events in Generation IV (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum), rarely in Dreamyard and commonly in Pinwheel Forest in Generation V (Black, White, Black 2, White 2), commonly at Santalune Forest and rarely at Camphrier Town in Generation VI (X, Y), in the Lush Jungle in Generation VII (Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon), and Glimwood Tangle in Generation VIII (Sword, Shield) 🔥.

You can also encounter Bellsprout, though randomly, at the Isle of Armor in Generation VIII.

Bellsprout evolves into Weepinbell at level 21 🤪. After it has evolved into Weepinbell, Bellsprout retains its dual Grass/Poison typing, but its body becomes muscular and its bulb larger.

Later on, Weepinbell evolves into Victreebell at level 32, still retaining its dual Grass/Poison typing. However, the stats are amazing with it having sharp teeth, thus making it a formidable Pokémon.

Bellsprout’s best moveset is Vine Whip 💥. It has a power of 35, an accuracy of 100%, and a power point of 10. Besides the Vine Whip, Bellsprout has other good moves like:

  • Razor Leaf. This move has a base power of 55, an accuracy of 95%, and a power point of 25. This is a Grass-type move dealing the Same Type Attack Bonus to Water, Rock, and Ground-type Pokémon.
  • Stun Spore. This utility move has an accuracy of 75%, even though it varies depending on the generation. This Grass-type move helps Bellsprout to inflict paralysis on the opponent.
