How to transfer Pokémon from home to Scarlet and Violet
You will need a Pokémon Home app or Nintendo Switch to transfer Pokémon from home to Scarlet and Violet 🔥. After opening the app, choose the transferable Pokémon from the main menu.
On the Pokémon tab, select Scarlet or Violet, depending on the game you are transferring the Pokémon from. Next, choose the file you want to transfer Pokémon to and save it.
The next step is to move Pokémon to the Home boxes on the right. These represent Scarlet and Violet’s save file. Press the plus button to save the changes and confirm the transfer.
After finishing the transfer, close Pokémon Home and Launch Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Can Scarlet and Violet allow the transfer of all Pokémon?
Unfortunately, Scarlet and Violet do not allow the transfer of all Pokémon 😢. Certain Legendaries, Mythicals, and regional forms cannot be transferred because they are not part of the Paldea region’s Pokédex.
When one tries to transfer them, a red symbol appears, warning that the Pokémon are not transferable.

There are several Legendary Pokémon that can be transferred to Scarlet and Violet, including Zapdos, Charizard, Pikachu, Venusaur, Blastoise, Mew, Mewtwo, and Alakazam 💪. Others are:

Can I transfer Pokémon from Brilliant Diamond to Violet?
You cannot directly transfer Pokémon from Brilliant Diamond to Violet. You will need Pokémon Home to act as an intermediary.
To transfer Pokémon from Brilliant Diamond to Violet, first, ensure that Brilliant Diamond and Violet are both compatible with Pokémon Home.
Next, open Pokémon Home and link the Brilliant Diamond and Violet save files. Now, select the Pokémon from Brilliant Diamond that you want to transfer, and move them to the boxes on the right side of the screen representing Violet’s save file.
Press the plus button to confirm the transfer and open Pokémon Violet to launch it.
Can you send Pokémon from Pokémon Sword to Pokémon Violet?
Yes. You can send Pokémon from Pokémon Sword to Pokémon Violet using Pokémon Home. First, ensure that both are compatible with Pokémon Home, then link Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Violet save files.
After linking them, select the Pokémon to transfer from Sword to Violet, and move them to the boxes on the right screen representing Violet’s save file. Press the plus button to confirm the transfer and open Pokémon Violet to launch it.
Does transferring a Pokémon to Scarlet/Violet prevent it from being transferred back to an earlier game?
No. Transferring a Pokémon to Scarlet and Violet does not prevent it from being transferred back to an earlier game.
