Defog is a flying-type special move that has been in the game since generation one, Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
I have been able to use it with several Pokémon so far, and I must say, it’s a brilliant move! 🔥💯 It produces a strong wind that blows away barriers and lowers the effectiveness of target Pokémon.
Before I knew how to get defog and use it in competitive play, I struggled to find a move that could do the same things.
If this has happened to you, then you need to read on.
Let’s dive into details about defog.
How to get Defog in Pokémon?
Defog is available as a hidden or technical machine move in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Defog is in Pastoria City within the Great Marsh Safari zone. It will cost you 500 cash to get into the Marsh area.
Once you enter the game, head over to that area and talk to the Ace Trainer NPC. This is the green-haired trainer walking on your right.
The trainer will give you several TM97s that you’ll use to teach your Pokémon defog.
You can also find defog in your Poketch. It helps to clear the fog around the Marsh.
Is there a Pokémon in Sword and Shield that can learn both Haze and Defog?
Defog is a special flying-type move that helps clear barriers and other entry hazards. On the other hand, Haze is an ice-type move that resets all of the target’s stat changes.
Several Pokémon can combine these moves to become unstoppable.
These Pokémon include the Weezing Galarian, Decidueye, and Zubat. Weezing Galarian is the best tank since its bulky nature allows it to clear barriers more effectively.
Zubat is also a personal favorite. It gets Defog by breeding and Haze by leveling up to level 35.
