When your bag is full in Pokémon Go, discard Potions, Revives, berries, Poke balls, rare candies, and unwanted eggs.

However, before letting go of the items in your bag, you should prioritize items from the less important to the most important in the following order👇:

  • Excess Potions. Clear lower-tier Potions like Super Potions and remain with just enough Hyper Potions and Max Potions.
  • Revives. Discard excess Revives, but keep Max Revives to help you later.
  • Berries. Discard Razz Berries, Nanab Berries, and Pinab Berries since they are the most common and can always get rewarded near Poke stops.
  • Regular Poké balls. Replenishing Poké balls is easy since they are common in the game. Thus, discarding them should be a priority since they take up a lot of space in the bag.
  • Unwanted eggs. Get rid of duplicate or unwanted eggs as the ones that take a lot of time before hatching, to free up the space in your bag.

What would happen if I tried to catch a Pokémon but all of my boxes are full and my team is full?

If you try to catch a Pokémon, but your boxes and team are full, you won’t be able to capture a Pokémon 🔥. Further, you will receive a message indicating you do not have the space to store the Pokémon since your box is full.

However, you won’t be able to interact with the wild Pokémon as it will disappear since you could not catch it.

Further, you will not receive rewards like Stardust or XP because you were not successful in catching the Pokémon.

To avoid this situation, always make sure that you have enough storage in your collection where Pokémon can be stored.

So, what happens if your Pokémon storage is full and an egg hatches?

Is there an age limit for Pokémon in the game?

If an egg hatches when your Pokémon storage is full, you will see an animation of the egg hatching, but you won’t receive it in your Pokémon storage 😥.

This is because hatching eggs depends on Pokémon storage; thus, the hatched Pokémon will disappear.
