How do you breed Pokémon in Scarlet?
To breed in Pokémon Scarlet, select 2 Pokémon in the same Egg Group and start a picnic😃. Choose 2 Pokémon that look similar so that they like each other. One must be a female and the other male.
If you are breeding with a Ditto, the other Pokémon can be of any gender and Egg Group.
Start a picnic in your party for the Pokémon. After some time, check the picnic basket for eggs. You should take the eggs, transfer them to a box, and wait for them to hatch.
If you breed a male and a female, the hatched Pokémon will be like the female. If you are breeding with a Ditto, the hatched Pokémon will be like the other Pokémon.
Can you breed all Pokémon with Ditto in Pokémon Scarlet?
Yes, you can breed all Pokémon with Ditto in Pokémon Scarlet except those in the Undiscovered Group. Ditto is a great Pokémon for breeding because it can breed with either gender and take on the form of other Pokémon.
Therefore, it can breed with almost all Pokémon. You don’t have to worry about gender or egg groups for compatibility😌.
Ditto can also breed with genderless Pokémon like Magnemite and Rotom, and Pokémon that are only male like Braviary and Tauros.
However, Ditto cannot breed with Pokémon in the Undiscovered or Ditto Egg Group.
Does Ditto and starter Pokémon breed in Scarlet and Violet?
Yes, you can breed a Ditto with your starter Pokémon. As long as the starter Pokémon can breed, it will be compatible with a Ditto.
To increase the chances of breeding, you can have sandwiches to give your Pokémon Egg Power. Food items in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet boost the stats of a Pokémon and increase the breeding rate.
You can have sandwiches with recipes like Marmalade, Fruit, or Peanut Butter, or get food like Smoked Fillet with Herbs from the shops across Paldea🥳.
What Pokémon cannot breed with Ditto in Pokémon Scarlet?
Ditto cannot breed with Pokémon in the No Egg/Group X /Undiscovered Group or the Ditto Egg group. The group consists of Legendary and Baby Pokémon.
Some Special forms of Pokémon like Cosplay Pikachu and almost all Mythical Pokémon cannot breed with Ditto.
