Being a Pokémon fanatic and avid gamer, I have become well-versed in the best places for one to find Pokémon.
From the urban landscapes where skyscrapers🏙 dwarf streets and parks that are constantly bombarded by endless streams of players to the serene rural swathes all over the world with almost no players, I can point👉 you to Pokémon spawn zones.
So, let me teach you where to find Pokémon.
Where are Pokémon Found?
Pokémon can be found and caught near you by using the Nearby screen. Some can only be found in exclusive parts of the world like Trophius who is only available in Africa.
However, the best chance you have to find Pokémon is in in-game events and community days.
Where do Pokémon spawn?
Pokémon appear in many different locations. Their appearance is influenced by many factors. These factors include;
FACTORS INFLUENCING SPAWNING |
EFFECTS OF SPAWNING FACTORS |
Habitats |
Different Pokémon types are more likely to be found in different habitats. Water-type Pokémon are more likely to be found in areas near water bodies like rivers, lakes, ponds, and even fountains⛲. Grass-type Pokémon, like Celebi, are more likely to be found in forests and parks🏞. |
Pokéstops |
These are real-world landmarks in the game where players can collect different items like eggs, portions, and Poke Balls that help to capture Pokémon. |
Gyms |
In the Pokémon games, gyms are places where teams put their Pokémon up to fight and battle for control over the location. In these places, you are more likely to encounter and capture Pokémon. |
Incense and Lures |
Incense is used to attract Pokémon to an individual, especially if they are on the move. This makes Pokémon easier to find and capture. Lures are activated at Pokéstops to attract Pokémon to that specific place. |
Weather Conditions |
Different weather conditions influence the frequency and likelihood of Pokémon to appear. A good example is the water-type Pokémon that are more likely to spawn during rainy weather. |
Time |
The time of day also affects Pokémon spawning. Some Pokémon like Oddish, who is nocturnal, only appear at night and are never seen during the day. |
How to Find Pokémon in Pokémon Go Without Moving
The only way to find Pokémon without getting off your seat is by using a location spoofer. However, this is against the game’s policies, and any player found using it will have their account flagged and closed.
But, if you find yourself in need of spoofing in order to catch Pokémon in the comfort of your home🏡, here are some ways to go about it;
Using MockGo
- You will need to first download the app from the Apple Store or Play Store and install it on your device.
- Connect your mobile device to your computer using your USB cable.
- Launch the app and find the Start button to activate the app’s function.
- On the top right corner of your screen, find Teleport Mode and click on it to activate it.
- A search bar will open where you can enter your destination. Click the search button, and the location will appear on your map.
- A pop-up window will appear with details of the location and a Move Here button. Tap on the move here button, and your phone will appear as if it is in that location.
- Lastly, disconnect your phone from your gaming device and launch Pokémon Go to play and find the Pokémon you were looking for without moving.
Can you find starter Pokémon in the wild?
Starter Pokémon are super rare they are considered Endangered Pokémon. For this reason, they are termed Protected Pokémon and can only be found in reserves and zoos on Islands in the game under the protection of scientists.
They are no longer found in the wild, in their natural habitat.
In these areas, players can only take pictures📸 but not capture these starter Pokémon.
However, in the anime series, you can still find starter Pokémon like Charmander, Snivy, and Bulbasaur in the wild, but only in special areas that are super rare to come by.
